Lent – a Season for Change
Descriptions of Offerings:
Tuesday evening – 7:30 – 9:00 pm
Learning about Prayer and Faith Sharing
Begins February 21
Runs for 6 weeks
These sessions will focus on Christian Prayer and will cover the following topics:
Vocal Prayer and Meditation; Contemplative Prayer; Difficulties in Prayer; “As Jesus Taught Us”: The Lord’s Prayer; “We Glorify God”: The Lord’s Prayer; and “We Depend on God”: The Lord’s Prayer. All sessions will include Scripture readings, shared reflections, and faith sharing. A booklet is required and weekly readings are recommended.
Wednesday morning – 10:00 – 11:30 am
Reflecting on the Gospels of St. Mark and Faith Sharing
Begins February 22
Runs for 6 weeks
The six sessions offered at this time will focus on the Gospels of St. Mark.
There will be background offered on St. Mark’s Gospels as well as shared reflections, prayer, and faith sharing.
Wednesday evening – 7:00 – 8:15 pm
"Letting Scripture Speak to Us Today"
A Bible Study Course
Begins February 29
Runs for 6 weeks
An overview of the Bible will be offered during these sessions (Click here). Each session will include prayer, shared reflection, a presentation, and discussion. There will be recommended readings from the Bible, as well as some optional supplemental reading materials, for each session.

Lenten Longings: Reflecting on the Gospels of Lent and Faith Sharing
Begins February 24
Runs for 6 weeks
Reflections on the Lenten weekly Gospels of St. Mark along with the companion book, “The Little Black Book” will be the focus of these sessions. Participants will be offered the opportunity to reflect, pray, and faith share. “The Little Black Book” and a second booklet, Lenten Longings, will be needed, and readings will be recommended.
